What is PTE and what is it used for?
The PTE Academic and PTE Core tests are both developed by Pearson, but they serve different purposes and target audiences.
PTE Academic
Audience: Individuals planning to study at universities abroad, especially in English-speaking countries like Australia, Canada, the UK, and the USA.
Structure: It assesses four main skills: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking.
Application: Widely accepted by universities and educational institutions for international student admissions.

PTE Core
Audience: Primarily used for immigration and work purposes in English-speaking countries, particularly Australia and New Zealand and Canada.
Structure: Similar to PTE Academic, it evaluates the four core language skills, but with less emphasis on academic needs, focusing more on language use in work and social contexts.
Application: Used for immigration and obtaining work or residency visas in English-speaking countries.
